Narrative Therapy
Narrative Therapy offers a refreshing perspective that views individuals as the authors of their own stories. It focuses on separating people from their problems, emphasizing the power of personal narratives in shaping one’s identity and experiences.
As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, incorporating Narrative Therapy techniques offers a transformative approach to empower clients in reshaping their stories. By amplifying alternate narratives and acknowledging personal strengths, Narrative Therapy becomes a catalyst for profound, empowering change.
It can be scary, awkward, intimidating or otherwise uncomfortable to come into therapy...
Whether you’ve been in therapy before or it’s your first time in therapy. You are being challenged to be vulnerable, talk about potential shameful/embarrassing topics and share deep pain or discomfort. But if you break it down, it’s just a conversation. You can share as much or as little as you want at first but eventually you might want to share more. People who get the most out of therapy share intimate details and get honest about their difficulties.
I work with both adults of any age and teens over 16-years-old for individual therapy and couples of any age.
